Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Coastal Areas
Countries in Africa and other developing areas of the world are most vulnerable to these impacts because their economies are highly dependent on climate-sensitive sectors such as agriculture and fisheries. The course advances participants’ knowledge on the effect of climate change in relation to key ecosystems in coastal areas. It emphasises how the ecosystems and the livelihood activities associated with them can be evaluated for the purposes of adapting to and mitigating the impact of climate change.
