Climate Change Adaptation and Mitigation in Coastal Areas

The course advances participants’ knowledge on the effect of climate change in relation to key ecosystems in coastal areas. It emphasises how the ecosystems and the livelihood activities associated with them can be evaluated for the purposes of adapting to and mitigating the impact of climate change.

The short courses are well suited for representatives and mid-career professionals from government, non-governmental organisations and civil society groups, donor entities, international organisations, industries, consulting firms, businesses and corporations, lecturers, students, and individuals who wish to gain a comprehensive insight into the application of modern tools such as GIS and remote sensing, and integrate climate change concept into managing fisheries and coastal resources are welcome!

 

Course fees for online sessions


A subsidised fee of US$ 100.00 is charged for online courses. All applicants who require certificates will pay this fee online using the online payment system. Applicants will be required to upload their receipts of payment during the application process.

Local Ghanaian participants

Non-residential (Package 1): GHS 850.00 (Includes tuition and all training materials)
Non-residential (Package 2): GHS 1,175.00 (Includes tuition and all training materials and meals – lunch and snacks)
Residential: GHS 1,775.00 (Includes tuition and all training materials, accommodation and meals – lunch and snacks)

International participants

The fee for international participants is US$ 1,000.00 (includes airport pick up, accommodation, tuition, training materials, lunch, and snack breaks)
Please note that the fee does not include visa fees, ground transport (except airport pick up), airfare, travel insurance, or food/lodging before or after the training dates. For local Ghanaian participants, travel to and from Cape Coast is the responsibility of the participant.
