The Centre for Coastal Management – Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECoR) at the University of Cape Coast, on Tuesday, March 24, paid a courtesy visit to the Ghana Navy to advance collaboration in research and the protection of Ghana’s coastal and marine environment.
The Centre for Coastal Management-Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, (CCM-ACECoR), an implementing partner of a student exchange programme between the University of Cape Coast and the University of Tsukuba, Japan, recently hosted a delegation of Japanese students and facilitators as part of a Pilot Field Work under the programme. This exchange focused on addressing global environmental challenges.
An exchange student from Yokohama National University, Japan, Ms. Natsuki Takayama, currently undertaking studies at the University of Cape Coast’s Centre for Coastal Management - Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience, (CCM-ACECoR), has presented her final research project on disaster education in Ghana, highlighting the need for increased community education and awareness to reduce the risk of disasters in coastal communities
