As part of the Centre for Coastal Management's 10th-anniversary celebrations, a cookout activity for students and staff was organised on the 8th of June, 2023, at the University of Cape Coast's Senior Club House car park.
Participants of the cookout included students, staff and national service personnel from different regional countries in the Centre showcasing the rich African culture by way of the various native foods eaten in these countries and the history behind the foods.
Dr. Edéya Orobiyi Rodrigue Pelebe, a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Centre for Coastal Management- Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) will be working with ECO-BENIN "Benin Ecotourism Concern" in Benin for his one-month professional internship. This initiative is a component of the ACECoR's staff capacity development programme, funded by the World Bank.
The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast has obtained international accreditation for four postgraduate programmes being run with – and hosted by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (DFAS).
