Ghana Fisheries Activities

Ghana Fisheries Activities

Project Description

The Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity, funded by USAID and implemented by TetraTech, is a five-year project focused on preventing the collapse of Ghana's small pelagic fisheries. It aims to reduce overfishing, control access to these fisheries, and improve the lives of local fishing communities. The University of Cape Coast's Centre for Coastal Management is contributing by conducting research, providing training, and organizing events to help inform better fisheries policies and management in Ghana. Essentially, it's about restoring fish populations and supporting the livelihoods of those who depend on them.
