The atmosphere was electrifying as the 4th edition of the Osabarimba Royal Awards began, promising a day of honouring outstanding achievements, fostering unity, and inspiring visionary leadership. The event took place at the prestigious Emintsimadze Palace on January 20, 2024, and attracted a wide range of attendees, including representatives from different traditions, cultures, industry, government and non-governmental organisations, alumni associations, various groups, sponsors, media, and the general public.

The Director for the Centre for Coastal Management (CCM) Professor Denis Worlanyo Aheto in recognition for his significant contributions to the growth and development of Oguaaman, was honoured by the Osabarimba Royal Awards for his exceptional leadership in turning CCM into the prestigious World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR). This recognition comes from both the internal and external Juries of the awards. As his name was announced, a wave of pride and admiration swept through the audience as he made his way to the stage to receive the highly esteemed award.
CCM was also named 'The Outstanding Public Institution' in recognition of its overall contributions to the development of Cape Coast and its surrounding areas. This recognition had been conveyed in a previous correspondence, enhancing the institution's accomplishments and paving the way for a day of double jubilation.
The Honorary Award holds great importance within the framework of the Osabarimba Royal Awards' primary goals. These goals include acknowledging and valuing businesses and individuals who contribute to the development of Oguaaman, facilitating connections among key industry figures, advocating for cleanliness, discipline, and unity in communities, and endorsing businesses, individual endeavours, and residents who promote a positive image of Oguaaman.
