The Department of Fisheries & Aquatic Sciences organized a three-day retreat (from 23rd – 25th October, 2015) at Axim to deliberate on second year workplan activities of the USAID/UCC Fisheries and Coastal Management Capacity Building Support Project which commenced in October, 2014. The first year of the Project ended last September and as such necessitated the meeting which brought together major stakeholders of the Project within and outside the University of Cape Coast community, to discuss various issues on major successes and challenges in the year as well as strategies to deal with some of the challenges entering the second year of the Project. Some stakeholders present at the retreat were those of the University community; representatives from Procurement, Estate Management, International Office, Graduate School and the School of Biological Sciences, Project Management Board. Other stakeholders were the SFMP Chief of Party and African Lead.
