The Centre for Coastal Management (CCM) and the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences of the University of Cape Coast in collaboration with the University of Rhode Island (USA) with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is organising the second Conference on Fisheries and Coastal Environment (CFCE).
Coastal marine ecosystems are threatened by multiple natural and human-induced stressors. Climate change and other anthropogenic stressors such as pollution, habitat loss and over-exploitation of resources are key examples. Unfortunately the cumulative effects of these stressors are less understood for tropical coastal marine ecosystems.
The Centre for Coastal Management has organised the first session of the 2019 series of Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) short courses. The five-day course was organised as part of activities of the USAID/UCC Fisheries and Coastal Management Capacity Building Support Project being implemented by the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences at the University of Cape Coast, from 25th to 29th March 2019.
