The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) Project will like to apply part of its funding allocation from the World Bank to employ the services of three (3) Research Assistants at the Centre for Coastal Management (CCM) at the University of Cape Coast. ACECoR is a multi-year (2019-2024) initiative of the World Bank being implemented in coordination with the Association of African Universities (AAU) and the National Council of Tertiary Education (NCTE).
The Directorate of Research, Innovation and Consultancy (DRIC) of the University of Cape Coast
MPhil and PhD students admitted to the ACECoR programme are eligible for a scholarship award to facilitate completion of the programme. The scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, monthly stipends and field research grants as well as other material and technical support. The scholarship will support students to present their innovative research results at local/international conferences and cover publication fees for research papers submitted to high impact journals. Continued funding support is contingent on academic output based on annual performance reviews.

The World Bank Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) organised a meeting with Sectoral Partners on 20th March 2019 in Accra, Ghana, to present the project and discuss possible areas of collaboration.
