    The project on the data collection of Abandoned Lost and otherwise Discarded Fishing Gear (ALDFG)in Ghana under the Ocean Country Partnership Programme (OCPP),through the Centre for Coastal Management (CCM_ACECoR) commenced on the 16th of September 2023 with the training of quality control officers at the Ridge Royal Hotel Cape Coast.

    From the 3rd – 9th September 2023, the largest artificial intelligence and machine learning conference in Africa, Deep Learning Indaba, was held in the University of Ghana, with the theme, “Y3b3tumi (We can)”. This conference is organized annually to bring together individuals from the African Machine Learning and AI Community with the mission to strengthen African AI.

    The Centre for Coastal Management - Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECoR) has been awarded a partnership contract by Tetra Tech ARD under the USAID-funded Feed the Future Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity (FtF GFRA) project to support the implementation of one of its strategic approaches to mitigating the near collapse of Ghana’s small pelagic fisheries sector and establish a durable basis for its ecological recovery.
