The Infrastructure Development Institute, Japan in collaboration with the Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR), University of Cape Coast with the support of the World Bank has organised a short course on Coastal Management through the Integrated Sediment Management Approach
On Tuesday 11th April 2023, the Centre for Coastal Management (CCM) celebrated its 10th anniversary with a grand launch event held at the School of Medical Sciences Auditorium, University of Cape Coast.
Marine ecosystems and their biodiversity are valuable resources exploited for fisheries. In Africa, marine fisheries play a vital socio-economic role in terms of employment generation, food supply, and international currency exchange. However, various environmental problems caused by anthropogenic activities, have led to a decline in fishing catches and loss of biodiversity.
