    ACECoR ORGANIZES GRANTSMANSHIP TRAINING FOR STAFF

    The Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (ACECoR) has held a week-long grantsmanship training for staff and associates of the Centre.  The training facilitated by Gerard den Ouden, a grantsmanship expert, was held at the Pempamsie Hotel in Cape Coast from 27th June to 1st July 2022. The goal of the workshop was to build the capacity of staff to write winnable grant proposals to ensure the sustainability of the Centre.

    Professor Matthias Wolff Visits ACECoR For The 2022 Mid-Year Review

    World Bank’s Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience hosted Professor Matthias Wolff, the subject matter specialist for the ACECoR project for the 2022 Mid-Year Review. The event was held from the 20th to the 21st of June 2022 at the Ridge Royale Hotel in Cape Coast. The two-day event also had in attendance Dr. Sylvia Mkandawire, the ACE Impact Project Director; Dr. Edmund Aalangdong, ACE Impact Focal; Prof. Moses Jojo Eghan, Provost of the College of Natural Sciences and Agriculture [CANS, (University of Cape Coast)]; Representatives from Sectoral Advisory Board (SAB) led by Mr.

    ACECoR/CCM joins Future Earth Coasts as an International Project Office (FEC IPO)

    Centre for Coastal Management - Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECoR, University of Cape Coast) in Ghana joined the FEC IPOs in June 2021

    ACECoR is represented by the Director, Prof. Denis W. Aheto and Mr Saviour Komla Sobia Deikumah an Administrator at the Centre. Mr. Deikumah attends the monthly FEC IPOs Calls, which are regular virtual meetings held to update members on the FEC activities.

    GFRA Chief Of Party Pays A Familiarization Visit To CCM-ACECoR

     

    On Monday 30th May 2022, the Chief of Party for Ghana Fisheries Recovery Activity (GFRA) Heather D'Agnes paid a visit to the Centre for Coastal Management-Africa Centre of Excellence in Coastal Resilience (CCM-ACECoR) to familiarise herself with the activities of the centre and also explore opportunities for future collaborations.
